This is another update of this large remodel/restoration project, which the owner now informs us is a Hamilton brand (as in the Hamilton jet company). Being such a large and ongoing job we have had 2 previous update posts on this project which you may remember. It is now getting close to the finishing stages with most structural work completed. Following on from our last post, the new cabin has now been installed, faired and primed, now showing the final lines of the new concept design. The styling of the new cabin has been modernized and incorporates hidden routing for the lights and other electrics, inbuilt composite boltrope tracking for the covers and provision for a solar panel up top. The new windscreen panels have been delivered and pre-fitted in a black frame and tinted toughened glass, these include two opening sliders on the sides. Internally there has been a lot of work done, with the deletion of the old helm console and a new one built in on the Starboard side, a new full width bench seat across the back with storage below and twin battery shelves covered with a watertight hatch, custom seat boxes with storage underneath and inbuilt footrests, new engine control panel and new bi-fold cabin doors. We may have already mentioned the new stainless under-floor tank which is centrally mounted behind the seats and is yet to be installed. Inside the cabin there has been plenty of work done, tidying up for a re-flowcoating and fitting a cover panel for the back of the new helm console which will will house all the wiring/electrics. We will keep you updated when we wrap this project up and show the finished product.
