This Bonito had some damage repaired several years ago and the repair had let go and the boat was taking on water. You will notice how the patch came off quite cleanly, showing where the piece had let go. This is a good example of why we only use epoxy for our work, the bonding is far superior as well as the strength of the laminate. Once the area was ground back and treated we rebuilt the section with layers of knitted glass fabric and epoxy. The owner also asked for some other gelcoat repairs done while it was with us. One of these was a chip in the blue hull at the back. With everything tidied up this boat was ready for the high seas again!
