You may remember this project from an earlier post. We are now progressing well with the finishing work with clear sights set on the painting stage. The work since the last post has been attending to extensive repairs above the gunnel including the cabintop, aft deck, cabin structure and interior. On the aft deck we fitted a low table in front of the aft bench seat which below this was an insulated ice-box. Inside the cabin we also carried out a lot of repairs to enable us to prime and paint this area. The owner then asked for a curved sea come chain locker built into the foredeck. This was styled to match the unique curved lines of the whaler’s bows. Now getting close to the final primer stage, painting will be the next rewarding stage. We will keep everyone updated with future posts to come.
