Essential Energy requested some fiberglass work on a couple of their crane buckets. These are regularly checked and must be repaired to maintain the insulation of the bucket to protect the operators. This involved glassing the repairs and then gel coating the new work as well as any chips etc for insulation protection.

This customer enquired about how much it would cost to repair this fiberglass shroud which was a fraction of the cost of a replacement part. Some areas required temporary propping to regain the original shape until the new glass was cured. The newly reinforced shroud was then finished in a black flowcoat.
