This Cruise Craft was with us almost 10 years ago to get a transom replacement and some other work done. It is always good to be able to check on how jobs are lasting over a period such as this. We are happy to report that the transom is still perfect and going well. The latest concern was the Starboard side of the floor in the back deck which was very spongy. Once the fuel tank was removed we could check the condition of the main hull stringers which revealed a section in the middle of the Starboard side stringer requiring a section to be replaced, and the Port side was rotten full length so we replaced this. Once the floor was removed we discovered that this side was half full of water which we removed. Because of this we added drain bungs through the main stringers for the owner to check in the future for water ingress. The seat bases were different to most other boats with the pad raised above the floor with bolts set in from the underside. We made a matching new seat base which was glassed to the floor. The fuel tank was reinstalled with improved supports and foam rubber base. We refinished the repairs to match and were able to reuse the existing carpet on the Starboard side of the floor. This great old boat is now back in seaworthy condition again and ready for many more years of service.
