The bottom of a trailer boat always gets knocked about especially if the trailer is not quite right for the boat. This Cruisecraft Hustler was recently purchased by the owner and he asked for the hull bottom to be brought back up to scratch. It had damage down the forefoot of the keel line and bad damage below the bung on the corner of the transom. There were other nicks and scrapes all of the place that we tidied up as well. Another issue on the hull bottom was the bad water stain or ‘Myall smile’ as its often called, this took some serious elbow grease to get off as it had been left for some years. Once the repairs were done we polished the gelcoat back up with a very satisfying result. While the boat was on the work stands the owner took the trailer away to rectify the issues to avoid further damage to the boat. We re-adjusted all the new components on the trailer to suit the hull while settling the boat back on the trailer. Here’s hoping for many years of trouble-free use without further damage.
