An excavator collided with this dump truck and damaged the front LHS of the fiberglass bonnet. Although this is not our usual type of job, the process is exactly the same. We got it all back into shape with the aid of a template of the main metal frame which is what the bonnet hinges from. Inside there were metal brackets and a grill piece glassed into place. These were removed and remounted after some panel beating to get back into shape. A temporary foam mould was made of the fiberglass section that was missing to rebuild the new section. As usual we used epoxy for maximum strength and versatility to rebuild the damaged area. The customer wanted the entire bonnet repainted which involved two colours. These colours were colour matched to suit the truck when refitted.
