This is a repeat customer’s boat we worked on some time ago. We glassed the foam band around the hull after he had it fitted. Now he wanted a couple of swim platforms custom made off the back of the transom. He had some of the foam material left over which we incorporated into the design of the swim platform extension sections. We made this flow into the existing band so that it looked as if it was meant to be there. The foam below the platform added support when loaded. The extensions were set up on the boat and then removed and glassed on the bench. These were then glued and glassed on, and flowcoated to match the boat. Finished with a nonslip patch on top these looked the part.
