Here’s something a bit unusual, we have done work on many variations of composite items other than boats but not a car, especially a beautiful classic car like this. This is not a kit car it is a 1962 TVR from the UK, yes they were making fiberglass cars back then! And it is still going strong apart from a few cracks and dings. The owner had it sheathed with a light glass coating with epoxy as well as some carbon fibre reinforced sections. What he wanted us to was to do was to get it ready for painting. He was under the impression that all that was required was a heavy highbuild epoxy primer coat however once we got into it we could see that it needed a fill and fair of all surfaces. After a lot of filling, sanding, refilling and rubbing back we got the surfaces blocked flat for the painting stage. We also rebuilt the front windscreen flanges on the pillars after test fitting the windscreens. The owner is taking the car to a panel beater to carry out the painting.
