This is an Ian Murray designed racer that suffered fire damage inside due to an electrical short. The boat has been built beautifully with a teak fit-out inside and laid teak decks. The foam core deck was most affected by the fire with a large area of the internal laminate damaged which was removed, prepared and re-glassed in epoxy. Multiple layers of cloth were laid working over-head while the interior was covered with plastic to avoid resin dripping on it. Also damaged was the main bulkhead below the mast which required stripping the teak veneer back and re-fairing. The bulkhead will be painted in high gloss polyurethane to freshen up the saloon area.

Part of the job is to remake some of the damaged teak mouldings which trim the new ceiling panels.26
