This is the next update for this project. Being a large refit project we have been working on this boat for some time and from our last post we have rebuilt the aft deck, built new cockpit seats, cut a transom door into the back of the cockpit, cut out soft core in the flybridge floor and repaired, fitted new composite mounts for the engine controls on the flybridge, undertook major repairs in the foredeck and stripped back for refinishing. The fuel tanks were mild steel and very rusted so we fitted brand new stainless tanks with new floor beams and flooring over the top. The exterior of the boat has had extensive repairs both structural and cosmetic to prepare it for painting. We removed the flybridge hardtop and will be making a new one with new stainless supports. The owner also decided to fill in the port holes in the hull which we used composite glassed in with epoxy, and then filled and faired into the hull. The boat has now been moved into the paint shed for painting and we will provide and update of this part of the work soon.
