Never a good thing, this boat had a large hole torn down a section of the keel line. It was almost lost with it filling up with water while out on the bay. It turns out that the trailer had been modified with a metal bracket added on the back of the trailer causing the hull to hit this as it ran onto the trailer.
The damaged area was ground back creating an incline for the new fiberglass to be filled to. The layers of knitted fiberglass were laminated from the outer edge of the repair area to build up the original hull thickness. For added strength this glass work was done in epoxy.
