This US import has been to us before for hull repairs. The first job we did was repairing cracked planing strakes which were taking on water. After this work it was recommended to the owner to have a flexible section of the hull below the kill pens reinforced with foam and epoxy laminated stiffeners. To access the hull the bottom of the kill pens required cutting out. This gave us access to install the new stiffeners with only just enough space for these to be glassed to the hull.
With the stiffeners structurally installed, the bottom of the kill pens were filled back in and refinished.
