This job was a hardtop for a 40ft trimaran built from foam and epoxy. A jig was made for the foam to be formed over and once secured the foam was glassed. As soon as the glass was fully cured the hardtop was turned over and the underside was glassed. Some stiffeners were required and also a thickened edge around the perimeter for reinforcement. Composite attachment fittings were made for the hardtop to fit to the boat. This is the lightest way to build a large cover like this.
