You may remember this boat from earlier in the year where after purchasing the boat we gave it a full detail for the owner. Everything has been going well on the boat since then however the swim platform mounting bracket ripped off recently and we got the boat in to investigate the failure. What we found was that the bracket in question had been screwed in with extra screws but the material had stripped out offering no holding power. We cut an access hole in the back shelf to suit a couple of hatches each side which gave us just enough space to through-bolt both brackets for a very strong and durable result. The affected bracket had been refitted in a very messy way so we detailed the gelcoat surrounding this fitting and polished it up again before re installing it. Once it was re installed it looked neat again. The other job requested was a missing handle on the transom which couldn’t be matched so we ordered two new handles and fitted them. Other than that we tidied up a few other little jobs on the boat and the boat was ready to roll again!
