The ‘Independence’ is the Myall Lakes pump-out vessel which is a free service to any boats visiting the Myall Lakes. Unfortunately over the Christmas/New Year holidays there were two incidents separate from each other that holed the hull causing some delays to the pump out service. Fortunately we happen to be on the lakes ourselves and were happy to carry out the emergency repairs to keep the ‘Independence’ afloat and working. Now that the busy season is over the owners asked us to carry out the permanent repairs. This was done on the Tea Gardens slipway and along with some other repairs to the hull as requested by the owners. She is now back in action and carrying out this invaluable service.
