This job was to repair peeling paint from a bad paint job. The extent of this wasn’t apparent until we started the prep where it was decided to simply use a pressure cleaner to remove the loose paint layers. The affected areas were above gunnel mainly. Once this was done it was clear how much more work was needed to be carried out with extensive repairs being revealed. Once the repairs were completed the surface was primed ready for the blocking down for paint. There were 2 colours needing painting, firstly the metallic silver background colour and then a dark grey inset panel and boot topping stripe. The silver needed blending from the transom to the original hull topsides and some other small repairs in the cockpit area and Targa. There were also extensive repairs to the aft and front hatches and the bow roller. The nonskid was redone and the boat refitted. The transformation was quite amazing!
