A customer from Dungog was caught up in a recent storm there and his fiberglass ute cover blew off and hit the house next door! Luckily it was repairable and the damage was mostly along the back edge. Some creative fiberglass work was required to re-build most of the back edge using temporary form jigs. This was then faired to original shape and primed/painted. The moulded finish on the top was a vinyl print which couldn’t be immitated so a curved section was masked off to cover the damage and was finished in a matching colour. This area included the locking fittings which were removed and re-fitted.
Another example of the amazing things that can be done using composites!
