We posted earlier this month about this new build project for one of our repeat customers who will use this boat as an on water rescue and support boat. We cad modelled it to their specific design, machined the Coosa parts on our CNC machine and built it using epoxy. This project is getting close now with the structure all done but just waiting on the custom handrails to be built for fitting and a deck-wash system installed. Following on from our previous post, we flipped the hull to glass the underside and then apply the black epoxy coating for the underwater section. Once returned the right way up, we primed and painted all areas above the black. Being a work boat they were not concerned about the finish and were happy with a rolled finish in hardtop 2 pack. The sides they asked to be in a safety orange colour with all other surfaces in the grey colours of their other vessels. Particular attention was taken with a decent sized D section gunnel rubber for the work they will be doing with this boat. The large foredeck now allows for a safe open work area for dock work etc. There is a wait on the hand rails which are being fabricated but in the meantime there are a few extra jobs requested to undertake.
