Sailability is an organisation that helps all ranges of disadvantaged people to experience the joy of sailing. We were proud to be associated with this worthy cause and to be able to assist. These four centreboards are ballasted and from some local boats at Grahamstown Dam club. The problem with the weighted boards is that the down pressure eventually can cause damage to the top head of the centreboard. These areas were the same on each one and required some carefull glassing with epoxy to repair and reinforce the tops again. With very tight tolerances there could be no excess material which would cause the board to jam in the case. There were also other areas that needed attention and then all boards were repainted in a polyurethane hardtop.
