You need to keep a good eye on your boat when at anchor. This Southwind dragged anchor onto the rocks and was lucky to come out of it with only minor damage. However it was quite extensive, from the transom to more than halfway up the hull was damaged from the rocks bumping away until the boat was rescued. We put the boat up on work stands and started work on all the repairs. Using epoxy and finished in colour matched polyurethane, the repairs were polished into the original gelcoat. The transom mounted transducer was also damaged and replaced with a new unit. While we were under the hull we gave the entire hull a good clean up and polish so she’s good to go again!
