This is the second transom replacement on a Stejcraft so we had an idea of what was involved. These boats have the hull extensions each side of the engine making the work area somewhat confined. Unlike the one we did some years ago, this transom was replaced using Thermolite board. All bonding and glassing was done with epoxy as usual creating an extremely strong transom. Other work requested was several gelcoat repairs and also the keel line repaired. To do this repair we lifted the boat onto work stands and while it was up there gave the bottom an acid wash, cut and polish and wax treatment. Once back on the trailer the same treatment was given to the rest of the boat. Looking almost brand new the owners were rapped with how it came up!
