The Stinger has now been fitted with its brand new engine with all the electrics wired up thanks to Nick from Impact Marine! We took the boat out for its water test and checked all the new systems. The boat performed well and all the systems worked as planned. You may remember we put in a freshwater tank which could be used through the deck wash pump with a couple of valves to choose between fresh and salt water. The new bait tank pump also worked a treat which was changed from an external inlet to a through-hull skin fitting. The proud owner joined us and got to drive his new toy for the first time! The anchor winch was running however we were yet to load up the anchor and chain. So the boat was hooked up and brought back to our shop where we fitted the anchor and chain, also a Permatrim foil to improve engine performance, a new Bimini cover and a general check over and wash down. The owner is also looking for us to build a composite hardtop later this year to add to the boat which is another exciting project to look forward to and we’ll keep everyone informed!
