Check out this transformation of this Symbol 40 cruiser, it had been neglected and needed some TLC. The gelcoat was wearing through in places on deck and on the flybridge front, along with extensive gelcoat damage around the boat. The duckboard was also loose and only just remained attached, the bolts had flogged out and half of them had fallen out. We removed this from the boat and started the work. On deck, we primed and painted the decks and the flybridge front, and ground out the hull repairs. The aft corners of the hull needed glassing as they were quite badly damaged. In the internal cockpit the seat fronts were peeling and these areas were repainted and blended. There was also a large old repair on the Port hull side that was in a grey colour and looked unsightly, this was sanded, primed and painted with the other repairs. The aft cabin windows had fiberglass moulded covers which were also very degraded and we primed and painted these.
We also repainted parts of the black boot topping where the paint had peeled off. Once all the painting and repairs had been done, the entire boat was polished.
