Following on from an earlier post, this project has now been completed and ready to go in for the engine and electrical work. The engine although old is in good mechanical condition as advised by the owner, so we decided to paint the engine cover to match the grey side panels which worked in really well. Another upgrade chosen by the owner was a full custom set of eva foam decking pads, CNC machined to fit this boat layout which just lifts the finish of this project to another level. This involved making hard templates checked out around all fittings etc. Apart from anything associated with the engine and electrical gear, all other fittings and equipment was renewed. With the grey hull side panels painted the boat looks brand new, considering the old colour was a faded maroon! All hatches were fitted with seals and struts including the drivers seat lid. We lined all the repainted lockers with marine carpet on the bases for a brand new feel. We will keep in touch with the mechanic to get some photos of this boat on the water.
