Always good to see a boat getting some well-needed love & attention. And we are more than happy to be a part of this process, its such a nice feeling bringing something old back to life! This Trailcraft had been sitting and waiting for just this for a very long time. The owner asked if we could help and we were only too glad to. The work involved refairing some damaged areas on the hull topsides and also a line of welds where a casting deck had previously been added. As expected with an alloy boat we repaired dozens of areas of corroded spots once we stripped the boat of its fittings. Part way through the owner decided to have us fit Eva decking to all internal floor surfaces including the casting deck, the side decks and the duckboard. To install the decking to the duckboard it was decided to fill the checker plate so that we had a brand new flat surface to bond to. The hull was painted in gloss white and we are yet to mask off the inset panel on the hull sides which will be a grey colour to highlight the sides and really set this boat off! Once we receive the Eva decking and install this, the boat should look better than new! We will keep you posted with the final stages…
