Sometimes things need modifying on a boat, this Whittley had a bait tank below the duckboard in a small hull extension. However the owner was complaining that this somehow leaked into the hull when at sea and he requested this area sealed up. The two hatches on the back deck, one to access the tank and one a deck shower, were glassed up as well as the bung and overflow in the tank itself. Because the duckboard was mounted on the original aft deck, we needed to glass up two skins. The owner is planning to renew the Seadek on the duckboard so this will cover the repair down the track. All repairs were finished with colour-matched polyurethane and polished in. The repairs inside the tank were touched up with flowcoat and the boat was ready for use once again.
